Over the years, I have helped many people pause, look at life differently and recognise choices or possibilities they may not have noticed before.
Digital Derek is a new way of making some of my knowledge, experiences, teachings and down-to-earth approach available whenever you need a little space to think.
It combines modern artificial intelligence with something I believe is equally important: our own Spiritual Intelligence.
AI provides the technology. I provide the perspective.
Why I created Digital Derek
Digital Derek grew from a simple question: Could my experiences, teachings and way of looking at life help people even when I am not personally available?
As an author, speaker, medium and life coach, I have spent many years helping people through life's challenges. My approach brings together practical experience, spirituality, intuition, humour and good old-fashioned common sense.
I do not believe in telling people how to live their lives. I would rather help someone slow things down, look at the situation from another angle and find the answer that feels right for them.
Digital Derek has been built around that same philosophy. It does not replace me or pretend that you are having a live conversation with me. Instead, it draws upon material I have personally approved, including my writings, teachings, stories, experiences and approach to helping others.
How Digital Derek works
You can tell Digital Derek what is on your mind by typing or speaking. It could be something connected with:
- work or business
- relationships or family
- confidence and personal development
- change, uncertainty or difficult choices
- purpose and direction
- spirituality and wellbeing
- something you are struggling with
- or simply something you have been thinking about
Digital Derek then creates a personal reflection shaped by what you have shared and my way of looking at life.
It may offer a different perspective, something practical to consider and a final thought or affirmation to take away with you.
Your reflections can be saved privately in your personal journal, allowing you to revisit them and notice patterns, progress and changes over time.
AI and Spiritual Intelligence
Artificial intelligence can process information, recognise themes and bring ideas together.
Spiritual Intelligence asks different questions:
- What does this mean to me?
- What am I noticing?
- What can I learn from this?
- What choice feels right for me?
Digital Derek brings these two worlds together.
This project has particular meaning for me because, as someone who is dyslexic, I have experienced personally how AI can help remove barriers and open new creative possibilities.
Technology should never replace our humanity, intuition or personal responsibility. Used thoughtfully, however, it can help us understand ourselves and our lives from a different perspective.
The story behind Digital Derek
Digital Derek forms an important part of my forthcoming book, SI: Spiritual Intelligence in an AI World.
The book explores what it means to remain human, intuitive and spiritually aware in a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence.
As someone who is dyslexic, I have experienced how AI can remove barriers, help ideas find their voice and open possibilities that may once have seemed out of reach. Artificial intelligence is only part of the story.
AI can process information, recognise patterns and connect ideas. Spiritual Intelligence helps us ask what those ideas mean, what we can learn from them and how we choose to use them.
Digital Derek grew alongside the book and became a living example of that relationship: technology working with human experience, intuition, humour, compassion and personal responsibility.
The book shares the personal journey behind Digital Derek, how the idea developed and why I believe technology should support our humanity rather than replace it.

You do not need to be spiritual, and you do not need to wait until something is wrong. Digital Derek can be used during difficult times, positive times and all the ordinary days in between.
Digital Derek and working with me personally
Digital Derek does not provide mediumship readings, predict your future or make decisions for you. It is not a replacement for counselling, medical treatment or professional legal or financial advice.
It is designed to offer reflection, perspective and personal insight while leaving you in control of your own choices.

How Circle Networks helped me move forward
Digital Derek would not have happened without the people and relationships I found through Circle Networks.
At the end of 2025, I was very ill. Recovering affected more than my health. It also knocked my confidence and left me needing to rediscover some of the energy and belief I had always brought to my work.
Becoming part of Circle Networks helped to change that. The friendship, encouragement and accountability within the community motivated me to finish my first published book, A Happy Medium: Awakening Through Life's Challenges. It reinvigorated me, gave me confidence again and reminded me what can happen when the right people believe in you and encourage you to keep moving forward.
Jamie Stewart's Be More Buffalo message also reached me at a time when I needed it. The idea of a buffalo moving towards the storm instead of running from it felt like a sign. I took it as encouragement to move forward, face my challenges and keep going, even when the path ahead felt difficult.
Circle Networks describes its approach as Friendship Fuels Business, and that has certainly been true for me. Through the network I met Phil Worthington of West Pro Media Services Ltd. That relationship led to the idea, collaboration and technology behind Digital Derek.
What began as a business connection became a trusted working relationship and friendship. It is a real example of how one conversation and the right introduction can open a completely new door.
